Cookie Policy
Version 1.1 - last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, are used on cutmeter.com, the website of CutMeter, which is provided by KUZUB LTD (company number SC890997, registered in Scotland). Words with capital letters have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.
1. Our approach
1.1 We use only cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to provide the Service that you request and to keep it secure. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media plugins or any technology that tracks you across websites, and we do not identify devices by fingerprinting.
1.2 Our own measurement of how the Service is used (Usage Events, described in our Privacy Notice) works without cookies and without third-party analytics software.
1.3 Because everything listed below is strictly necessary, we do not ask for your consent before setting it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you do, you cannot sign in and some security checks may prevent you from using the Service.
2. What we use
- Sign-in cookies (names beginning with "sb-", set by CutMeter through our sign-in system Supabase Auth). They keep you signed in and protect the sign-in process. They are set only when you sign in, are deleted when you sign out and otherwise expire no later than 400 days after you last used the Service while signed in.
- Upload cookie ("cm_uploader", set by CutMeter when you upload a File). It holds a random number that links the Files you upload to your browser, so that only you can open, check or download them, even if someone else sees their link. It holds only that random number, is not linked to your Account and is not used to track you, and it expires 7 days after your last upload.
- Security cookies set by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, such as "__cf_bm" and "cf_clearance". They distinguish people from automated traffic and protect the Service against attacks. "__cf_bm" expires after 30 minutes without activity; "cf_clearance" records that your browser passed a security check and expires after 30 minutes. Cloudflare may set other security cookies described in its cookie documentation; all of them are strictly necessary for security and none of them is used to track you across websites.
- Settings that you choose (stored in your browser's local storage). If you change a display setting, such as units, or close the language suggestion, your browser stores that choice so that it applies on your next visit. It stays in your browser until you change it or clear your browser data.
- Paddle checkout. When you start a purchase of Pro, we load the checkout of Paddle, which sells Pro. The checkout uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for payment, security and fraud prevention, under Paddle's privacy notice. We do not load the Paddle checkout before you start a purchase.
- Google sign-in. If you choose to sign in with Google, you are taken to Google's sign-in page. Google sets its cookies on its own website under its own policies, not on cutmeter.com.
3. Changes to this policy
We do not use any cookie or similar technology that is not described in this policy. Before we add one, we update this policy, and if the new cookie or technology is not strictly necessary, we ask for your consent before using it.
